Cherish the Ladies Launches Dining Hall Renovation Campaign

On 22 June, the Irish Workhouse Centre hosted a sold-out concert in the former dining hall/chapel to launch a much-needed campaign for the space’s renovation. Over 220 people attended, with some travelling from as far as the US.

Joanie Madden and Cherish the Ladies delivered a spectacular performance. With Joanie’s father hailing from Portumna, the evening held a special personal significance.

Minister Seán Canney was in attendance and addressed the audience. The campaign will continue later this year, with plans to take it to New York City in November.
