A Taste of Portumna 2017
The Irish Workhouse Centre, in partnership with Galway County Council, will be hosting ‘A Taste of Portumna’ event on 10 March 2017 from noon to 5pm. The idea behind the event is to facilitate local producers to exhibit and share their produce with a wide audience.
To that end we are looking for local food producers to contribute to the ‘Taste of Portumna’ day. The event will be well-marketed by both ourselves and Galway County Council and provides a great opportunity to network with fellow producers and to meet customers.
In addition, part of the event will be a ‘Festival of Bees’ involving the folklore of Bees, with a focus on education and their importance in our local food. The event will coincide with the launch of our biodiversity ‘Bee area’ in the workhouse, with family activities all day.
If you are interested in contributing / participating in this event, please contact Steve Dolan or Mary Healy (on phone) at 090 9759200 or (via email) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that all food providers must be HSE certified.
